This print, created in 2019, predates my Parte of London map series. It is a high-quality Giclée print, produced on 310gsm Hahnemühle German Etching paper.

The artwork features the Monument in the City of London—a structure that has appeared in several of my works. In this piece, the Monument has been deliberately exaggerated in scale to tower above the surrounding streets and alleyways, creating a striking focal point.

Inspired by the charm of pop-up books, I aimed to explore unconventional perspectives and spatial relationships. By blurring the background, I introduced a sense of depth and emphasized the Monument’s prominence, making it appear as though it rises directly from the surface of the paper.
