About

I am Marcus, a UK-based artist who creates drawings and illustrations focusing on London and its history.

I studied fine art (drawing) at Camberwell College of Arts and graduated in 2013. During my studies, I developed an interest in cartography and began researching old maps of London. This led to the creation of my first map, ‘Parte of the City’, in 2020. This map combined the modern-day skyline with the street plan of 1750s London. This concept has since evolved into a series of maps exploring all corners of the city.

My work is created using a variety of mediums including digital drawing, pen and pencil, paint and sculpture. Some of my work explores a fictional dystopian London, which is evident in many of my illustrative drawings and miniature sculpture set pieces.
