This map is the start of a new series exploring London’s Parks and open spaces. I Started this map as a private commission in September 23 and  following its completion I wanted to expand on the idea looking at the wider surrounding area. 

In this print we see the present day Common with its playing fields, Ponds and pathways. Surrounding the common we see the large Mansions and Villas once owned by London’s upper class. The overall plan of this map was heavily influenced by the maps of John Roque’s particuly his 1746 map ‘Country near ten miles round’.
