From the Golden Gallery, Looking South

This drawing captures the view from the top of St Paul’s Cathedral, known as the Golden Gallery — a narrow, circular balcony that encircles the base of the dome’s lantern, 85 metres above the city. The view looks south, across the River Thames towards the historic Bankside, once home to London’s famous Elizabethan playhouses.
