In my work, I'm keen to explore a future London that is slightly dystopian, empty and barren, yet there is still some kind of haunting presence. I had the idea to draw a giant ship, a ship so big that it was used to move full-sized buildings and skyscrapers, almost as if they're giant, prized possessions of the future inhabitants of London. I used to draw Titanic quite often as a child and I was obsessed with it (I still love it to this day) so you could say this ship is very much influenced by that.
I'm a huge fan of Richard Rogers' architecture and designs, I've studied and researched his buildings almost as much as Sir Christopher Wren's. The Lloyd's building is my favourite of all of his creations.
