This high-quality Giclée print is printed on 310gsm Hahnemühle German Etching paper. Originally created in 2017, it forms part of an ongoing series exploring a dark, fictional version of London.
In this imagined city, London remains untouched by the Blitz. Over time, the Thames has gradually risen flooding many areas and giving way to a network of canals that now replace the original streets. The city retains a heavily industrial character with mills, factories and densely packed slum-like housing still dominating the landscape.
In this particular piece, the Monument to the Great Fire of London looms out of the darkness silhouetted behind a forest of smoky chimneys
This piece was created digitally using a combinations of collage photography, miniature set and ink drawing
