Originally created in 2018, this piece presents a dystopian vision of an imagined London. The scene depicts a densely populated, slum-like setting with tightly packed wooden and brick buildings precariously overhanging a muddy canal. The tide is out, exposing the murky riverbanks and adding to the bleak atmosphere.
In the distance, a haunting figure lingers in the shadows, adding an eerie sense of mystery. Towering chimney stacks punctuate the sky, some equipped with massive spotlights that reflect off the low-hanging clouds. Dominating the skyline is a colossal, stone-like structure—an imagined reinterpretation of the Victoria Memorial—serving as a surreal and imposing backdrop.
